Gambling

If you find yourself addicted to gambling website please visit this website for a Compulsive Gamblers Self-Assessment, If you find yourself saying yes to any of the questions its best to seek hep immediately.

Gambling can be a way of earning money on the internet albeit very rarely working. Everybody has heard the phrase "the house always wins." Its no different on the internet. Games like poker are very popular on-line however make sure your playing with a reputable site as some could be not properly run and you could find yourself out of pocket without even placing a chip on the table.

Gambling should be treated as a hobby and not something that your going to be placing money you can't afford on the table. if you do wish to play poker there are many sites out there that offer "fun games" where you don't lose any money just the sites own little currency. If you do want to make some money on-line with poker and other such casino games then its best to practice on these "free tables" as you may think you know how to play poker but internet poker is different as there is a sense of anonymity about it. People can lose thousands on an on-line poker game to someone they don't even know what they look like.

The best advice I can give you for earning money from Gambling on-line is

  1. Practice with free tables a lot.
  2. Don't bet money you can't afford to lose.
  3. Use well known sites so you know you won't lose your money any other way than gambling it.
  4. Don't be fooled by websites selling you cheat software, if the website your using is good enough then no cheat software would work and if it does then you could face your account being banned and you losing all the money you won.
  5. if you become addicted then seen help immediately

Shares

Millions are won and lost over the stock market and the internet has meant that its available to more people than ever. There are three ways in which you can buy shares. Each have their advantages and disadvantages.

First there is the Execution only which means a stock broker will buy or sell the shares you want without any advice taking place, this leaves the risk solely with you. If you have enough time to study the stock market in detail and are sure you will make money with a certain share then this is the best option for you.

Advisory dealing is another way to buy shares where the Stock Broker advises you on where and when to buy/sell the shares. The advice is valuable as Stock Brokers experience can make the whole process safer. However Advisory dealing is just that, advisory at the end of the day if you don't like the information the stock broker is giving you then you don't have to invest.

Finally there is discretionary dealing where the stock broker takes full control of your money and it is them who decide exactly what to do with it. This way the stock broker is able to manage your shares in the quickly changing environment of stock broking.

Shares and stocks are risky business but with great risk you can get great rewards. Each of the three options carry a risk factor and obviously the more the stock broker is involved the more money will be spent on them.

The best advice I can give you for investing money in Shares is

  1. Keep an eye on the ever changing market.
  2. Only invest in what you know you can afford to lose.
  3. When using a stock broker make sure they have the correct experience.
  4. Shares can be a long term and a short term investment so keep that in mind.
  5. Experience is important when it comes to the stock exchange

Gaining Donations

Gaining donations may seem like an easy way for a website/ blog to make money however I believe its one of the hardest. Obviously the best sites using the donation feature are sites that invoke feelings like website supporting charity. However it has been known for some websites to be able to cover their server costs by adding a donation feature to their site.

Having a large audience is probably the best way to earn money from donations from a website/blog. Using forums and other social networking features and giving users small rewards for donation gives members more a pride factor after donating. A situation starts to occur that members donate to show their loyalty and status to your website which can be good for your wallet however the community rarely gains from it.

On smaller sites its not really worth adding a donation button to your website as adverts could probably do the job. However mixing the two options may sound like a good idea but having adverts on your site could deter donations and having a donation button on your site could deter the interest of clicking an advert. Its best to stick with just the one revenue stream until the website gains views.

Another bad thing about adding a donation feature is that its unlikley that you'll become rich from it, like I said earlier you will probably only cover the cost of the hosting of your site. Excessive use of the donation button will lose your visitors and member to your site and there is a careful balance that your not pushing your members to donate to much or to little.

The best advice I can give you for earning money from donations to your site is

  1. Think that if you came across your site would you donate to it?
  2. Don't try and push members to donate as you will lose visitors.
  3. Give a little reward or thank you to your donators to make them feel special.
  4. To remeber that you won't become rich from donations.
  5. The larger your internet community the more donators you will have.

High Yield Investment Programmes

High Yield Investment Programmes or HYIPs as they are sometimes known are websites that let you invest small amounts of money for a small (sometimes even daily) amount of interest. I personally have found these to be very dangerous ways of investing money. The company on the other end of the transaction is very unlikely to be a legitimate trading company as if everyone could make money in HYIP schemes then surely everybody would be doing it.

I have found HYIPs to be the pyramid schemes of the internet as people often test the water with small amounts of money and then when they see that that has made them some interest then they invest lager sums of money. This is where the mistake is often made as its very unlikely that larger investors will gain their money back as the website will probably close down as the website owner is now much better off with your large investment.

Treat these as scam sites as the only real person making money is the person who owns the site, and its very unlikely that they will want to share their wealth with.

The best advice i can give you for investing your money in HYIPs

  1. If you are going to invest only do it in small amounts.
  2. Use several HYIPs to make more money.
  3. Remember every HYIP will have a shelf life.
  4. Don't get carried away.
  5. Although the real best advice i can give about them is don't use them!

Crowd Funding

A very novel way of investing your money is to invest projects that you feel passionate about. Key examples of Crowd Funding are music albums and independent films. These both require you (the fan) to invest money to record an album or produce a film. You can make money from the sales of albums/DVDs that the project manages to sell.

As with most things it has its good and bad points, on some websites you aren't able to make money from investing instead you are rewarded in other ways like with seats to watch a film or a copy of the album. Even if you do manage to find a site that lets you keep a cut of the sales pie, the volume of items sold is usually low as few people are aware of project happening in the first place. In most cases its rare that you make money from the amount you put into the project because of this reason alone.

It is however a fun way to invest your money and you are kept updated regually with the recording/filming process. To be able to have fist hand contact with the artists is interesting and there is normally a great community behind it.

The best advice I can give you for investing your money in Crowd Funding

  1. Find a site and community that is right for you.
  2. Only invest small amounts as you may even lose money.
  3. Keep active on the site as you may recieve other benefits.
  4. Spread your money out on many different projects as you never know which one will make it to the big time.
  5. Enjoy yourself while doing it, if your not having fun then pull the money.

Creating Games

Creating games doesn't mean making a giant game of tag across the internet. Its using software (most popular being flash) to make small browser based games for people the world over to enjoy.

There really is a huge market for original game series, sites are willing to pay hefty prices for "the next best game." Its all well and good however the time it takes to learn the action script to allow the game to become interactive is significant.

The best way to make money off selling games is by getting into contact with a gaming site and offer an exclusive contract. However its not the most popular, most game creators opt for the option to add in game ads into their games which they earn on a cost per click basis. The second option pays a lot less and the game needs to achieve a certain amount of success for it to become a high earner.

If this is the route you want to take for making money on the internet, be prepared to learn a lot, and make sure you have all your software up to date as the next big break in the software could mean an incredible game could come out of it. You will have to adapt to the improvements in technology and also to the demands to your clients if you decide to sell the game out-right. The rewards are high but as I say it does take time to get to the high rewards.

The best advice I can give you if you want to make money by creating gives is to

  1. Create a unique original game.
  2. Get quotes from sites that are willing to sponsor you.
  3. Be able to adapt in improvements in technology.
  4. If you start a successful series, keep going with it.
  5. Don't underestimate your game.

Auction Unused Items

A fairly easy way to earn money on the internet is selling your old items to people across the globe. The best place to do this is probably ebay, however if you have any specialist items its probably best to research on-line auction sites with this specialist item in mind.

Internet auctions have been happening for a while now. There is no "best" way of selling items on auction sites, it all about trying to attract attention to what your selling, whether that is putting free delivery on the item or adding a photo to the listing page. Like with most things you've got to get your item to stick out in front of maybe a thousand or so items that are similar.

A good feedback rating is also very useful as it means your a trustworthy seller. This gives the buyer confidence to use you and maybe to consider using you in the future. Making money selling your old stuff is all when and good until you have nothing else to sell then you can think about investing your newly made money into buying more products you could sell (see the investments guide.)

The best advice i can give you if you want to make money by auctioning your old items is to

  1. Make the item seem attractive to possible buyers.
  2. Make the listing stand out.
  3. Keep auctioning to raise your feedback score.
  4. The photo of the item does matter.
  5. Never sell anything you may need in the future.
